About the Artist: Noguchi
Noguchi is a Japan-born artist who has resided in Hawaii for over 15 years. A student of the late *Uragami Masanori, Noguchi’s artwork and style contains echoes of Uragami’s European art influences, subtly intertwined with his own personal inspirations drawn from Hawaii and Waikiki Beach.
Noguchi’s love for the islands shines through his art, and he defines the colors used as his “Happy Palette,” working with pigments and pastels that bring out feelings of joy and calm.
People who have viewed his art and fans of his often remark that his pieces are bright and uplifting, or recognizably European with a Hawaii twist.
“I hope that everyone will feel the same way with future artwork to come,” says Noguchi.
*Uragami Masanori was a world-renowned Japanese artist and student of the works of the great Renaissance artists, but is most known for his study of Leonardo DaVinci’s particular technique. He studied and traveled throughout Europe and France, honing his art style, and has been recognized at Le Salon in France with several distinguishing awards and accolades.
