Before each treatment at the Moana Lani Spa, each guest is invited to place their worries into a wood bowl filled with alaea Hawaiian sea salt, known for its healing and restorative abilities.  Once the treatment is completed, the salt is placed in a collection bowl where at the end of the day, the salt is thrown into the ocean allowing the worries of the guests to be blessed and carried out to sea.
